Itinerary

Pastoruri, one of the snow-capped mountains of the Cordillera Blanca, now easily accessible, known as “the route of climate change”. The tour in tourist transport begins in the city of Huaraz (3100 m) towards the south of the Callejón de Huaylas towards the city of Lima, where you will have the opportunity to appreciate picturesque towns with their own characteristics such as: Aco, Recuay city (3400 m), Ticapampa and Catac, then in the town of Pacha Coto we take the road to the Cordillera Blanca, arriving at the Huascaran National Park, where we will register and visit the Pato Cocha lagoon, photographs in the huts roofs based on ichu (Andean gras) where the sheep and cow herders of the peasant community of Catac live, we will know the Pumapampa carbonated mineral water, water that emanates from the sub-soil by atmospheric pressure with gas and minerals, from this place we will observe the Mururaju mountain (5685m) at 4200 m, We will make another visit to the examples of Puya Raimondi, the most beautiful of the high Andean flora, which measures between 7 to 12 meters in height, we will also visit the Pumapa Shimin waterhole in the same area, a small lagoon that changes colors according to the movement of the sun. during the day, continuing by bus, and then arriving at the base camp or car park, then heading towards the base of the glacier in 20 minutes on horseback or in about 45 minutes. On foot, here you can take photos and enjoy the glacial landscape. Pastoruri is the glacier with easy access compared to the other mountains of the Cordillera Blanca.
